CURRICULUM AND TEACHING METHOD
ITALIAmore, the Italian Enrichment Program, uses modern textbooks designed to capture and keep the students’interest and employing both conversational as well as grammatical teaching techniques. Italian is spoken in the classroom as much as possible.

Regular classroom instruction is supplemented by other learning activities such as Italian movies, lectures, singing, etc. Whenever possible, one half hour per week is set aside for these activities which serve to introduce students to the Italian cultural heritage, and to train their ears to comprehend various Italian accents and patterns of speech. Classroom cultural activities include: San Valentino, carnevale, la festa della donna, Natale, Pasqua, and Ferragosto.

In addition, ITALIAmore maintains a continuously updated library of Italian books and videos for children as well as adults. Students are encouraged to check out these items during recess.

Homework is regarded as an essential part of learning and an extension of classroom instruction, and is, therefore, assigned weekly.  Report cards are issued at the end of each semester (for kids only).
