ITALIAmore is happy to introduce a new learning program, ITALIAmore Preschool, which will be held throughout the year in San Rafael.
We are located on a hill above the Loch Lomond Yacht harbor in East San Rafael with wonderful views of San Francisco Bay, Richmond/San Rafael Bridge, the Bay Bridge, and Mt. Tamalpais. We are happy to announce that another location will be added starting from September 2008 in Mill Valley at the Peace Lutheran Church (205 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley).
The Italian language program will give your child the opportunity to be exposed to an Italian linguistic curriculum the goal of which is to enrich your child’s ability to speak and to understand Italian in a fun, creative environment. The ability to read and write in Italian will be part of his/her continuing education through the after-school program and Saturday program for 5 to 10 years old.
The student-teacher ratio is capped at 6:1 so that children can have the best attention from the teacher and can be followed closely in order to develop a fluency in the Italian language and to progress in the curriculum.
The long-term goal of ITALIAmore Preschool (Parliamo Italiano!) is to bring the children (2 - 4 ½ years old) to fluent bilingualism.
Bilingual students have more success in school due to the innate understanding of varied patterns and organization of language which helps them decode the various disciplines they will encounter in school. We work hard to help our children develop a natural transition from one language to the other.
